PAPARAZZI PIC OF THE WEEK:

Y’all were loving the #tbt pic last week…and we just want to give the people what they want. So here’s another! The second ACADEMY ensemble is giving you fierce sun salutations in this shot from 2013 when we were still at The Den. We highly recommend looking closely at Ian in the background.

WHAT TO DO:

A badass on camera opportunity from Maria Margaglione:

Maria says…
I work for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. It’s a peer-run organization that helps people living with a mood disorder find support and resources. We’re launching a campaign this fall that I’m creating and managing. In that, I want to make a series of videos—three to be exact. I’m looking for (6) actors to fill a (1) minute each spot. They’re simple (but heartfelt) PSA style videos that would be shot at my office (55 E. Jackson). I can’t offer money, but it would be a reel for your portfolio! (And I’m sure I could wrangle up snacks.) The shoot date is September 9th from 1-5pm. I don’t think it will take that whole time, but I have that block just in case. Get Your Ass to Class

Remember that time the whole session sold out 2 weeks before class started? OH. Cool yeah, we remember, that’s RIGHT NOW. We’re so excited to have so many of you back in class!

If you didn’t see the email yesterday, waitlists are open (just click here and follow the regular enrollment prompts to add your name to the list.) If we fill up a waitlist, there might be an added speakeasy style class but you didn’t hear it from us.

RECOMMENDATION CORNER:

Fine, we’re busted, we’re still catching up on WTF with Marc Maron.
BUT THE IAN MCKELLEN EPISODE. You guys. Ian McKellen.
It’s incredible. He says so many amazing things about acting and also gives Marc Maron a master class in Shakespeare.

It’s here: http://www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episodes/episode_621_-_sir_ian_mckellen
