Melanin & Meisner is an introduction to The Black Box Method open to artists of color. This five-class intensive uses the vocabulary of Meisner and Viewpoints to foster an experience of bravery in the classroom in which artists of color can see themselves reflected in their ensemble. Students will leave each class with immediately applicable tools essential for navigating the industry as an artist of color in Chicago.

What Next?
After completing Melanin & Meisner, you’re ready to enroll in B1 in the STUDIO. To do so, please reach out to our Student Affairs Coordinator, Maddy, at admissions@blackboxacting.com and she will work with you directly to process your enrollment. Students who have completed Melanin & Meisner prior to enrolling in B1 will have their Melanin & Meisner tuition deducted from their B1 tuition and will not be required to complete the enrollment interview.
