ATTENDANCE FOR STUDENTS AND AUDITORS

Your presence in class is crucial not only for your own learning, but for creating a safe space in which everyone around you can push their creative limits. For this reason, you may not miss more than (2) days in any Black Box class. Any more than (2) absences may automatically disqualify you from advancing to the next level.

ADVANCEMENT BETWEEN CLASS LEVELS

The Black Box CORE Curriculum is designed for students to progress based off of their skill level. In order to progress to the next level, the student must have mastered the skills required in the current class. Completion of a class does not guarantee advancement to the next level.

At the end of each class, students will be evaluated by instructors. Each student will be qualified to advance, or not, based off of their assessment.

A NOTE ABOUT REPEATING CLASSES

You are always welcome and encouraged to repeat any class at Black Box. To give a bit of perspective, the majority of our instructors repeated B2 before going on to B3 to insure that they were prepared for what B3 had to offer.

If you are asked to repeat as specific class, this does NOT mean that your work isn’t great, it just means that we would like you to have more practice before moving on. In addition, if repetition is required for your advancement in the CORE Curriculum, you will be offered a limited-time discount on the class you need to repeat.
